Critique

Kiera Faber Completely human Exhibit

The first photo I viewed was the photo titled “corn” you can tell the photo was shot in the late afternoon due to the way the light falls on the subject.  The photo could have been improved if it was printed in a smaller size.  The meaning of the photo or what I gather as the meaning of the photo is that the subject sees herself as abused, or not worth much to anybody.

The next photo that I viewed was the photo titled “field 3”.  It is hard to tell what time of day this was shot at maybe early afternoon? There is a harsh light on the subjects left shoulder.  The subject is centered in the frame, but I believe this is on purpose.  Because the photographer is trying to convey a message of being controlled this is also evident by the hands that are grasping the subject’s arms.

Overall the Photographer has placed a lot thought, and time in to the photos that she has taken.

humming birds

I decided to shoot some humming birds because the were flying around and I had my camera close by. This is just a few of the hundreds of photos that I shot that day.

flowers

Theses were shot the same day as the humming birds were, the flowers were in good blooms and there were enough to make the photos interesting and not just a plain green background

Taylor was a great partner to work with for this assignment, very photogenic and a natural in front of a camera. these photos were shot around 3:30 in the after noon, I decided to use the shadows to get a lite natural lighting instaid of direct sun light. I tried to insure that I "filled the Frame" by getting a lot of close up shots.  I didn't have her pose in anyway, I just told her to act like I wasn't there. and the rest is history.

self portrait

I do not enjoy take Photos of my self, I enjoy shareing what I see in the world through my photos I take of other people and things.

The Flag is one of my favorit symbols in the world.
So many brave americans have given thier lives to defend what it stands for, and yet still so many others take for granted the freedoms that it represents

I chose to enlist in the Army, to join the history of my brothers and sitsters in arms that have come and gone before me.
